Director, Business Development & Corporate Engagement
United Way Broward is focused on advancing its mission through strategic corporate partnerships, and they are seeking a Director of Business Development & Corporate Engagement. This role is responsible for cultivating relationships with corporate partners, leading fundraising initiatives, and supporting community impact efforts.

Responsibilities
Provides leadership, coaching, supervision, training, and professional development for assigned staff and annual fundraising and campaign goals
Works collaboratively with the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and senior management to recruit and support top community leaders serving as development committee volunteers
Provides leadership support to the CSO, senior management, and development officers in securing contributions for the annual campaign, special initiatives, and custom giving interests of corporate and individual donors
Analyzes market trends and donor data to inform strategies for corporate engagement and revenue growth
Monitors and reports progress toward development goals by identifying new corporate partnerships, sponsorship opportunities, and innovative funding streams aligned with organizational priorities
Serves as an ambassador for United Way Broward by representing the organization at public events, private meetings, and community functions
Responsible for identifying workplace campaign strategies, special revenue projects, and opportunities
Works with the CSO and senior management team to develop goals and objectives for the annual workplace campaign and direct implementation of long- and short-range plans
Assumes primary staff responsibility for Development Committee meetings and works directly with the committee chair on recruitment
Educates staff, volunteers, and members of the business and financial community about United Way’s annual workplace campaign
Evaluates campaign results and recommends improvements to strengthen community-wide fundraising efforts
Mentors and coaches a motivated and resourceful development team
Models and reinforces effective relationship-building and consultative skills
Ensures disciplined use of the Andar information system for data capture
Establishes systems and tools to monitor and report development progress
Participates in organization-wide policy and procedure development
Assures preparation of documentation and relevant reports
Participates in relevant community task forces as requested
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
All staff are expected to participate in United Way Broward’s crisis response efforts when required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field
5–7 years of successful experience in business development, fundraising, or sales, including at least three years at a senior management level
Demonstrated success in corporate engagement and fundraising initiatives
Proven leadership and team development skills
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and donor management software
