Confidential company is seeking a creative social media consultant to help capture and share the story of Molly's Mini Farm while developing their online merchandising presence. This role focuses on photography, videography, content creation, social media strategy, and establishing an online merchandise platform as they prepare to welcome visitors and establish themselves as a premier farm animal experience in 2026.

Responsibilities

Capture high-quality photos and videos of our animals, farm activities, and seasonal events

Create engaging social media content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)

Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with farm activities and agritourism goals

Edit and post content consistently to build audience engagement

Help tell our farm's story, including animal personalities, breeding programs, and farm experiences

Create promotional content for future visitor experiences and party facilities

Develop and launch online merchandising through Shopify (apparel, farm products, branded items)

Design or coordinate merchandise concepts that align with farm brand

Monitor engagement and sales metrics, providing insights on content and product performance

Collaborate with farm ownership on messaging and brand development

Required

Proven experience in social media content creation, particularly photography/videography delivering high levels of engagement

Experience with e-commerce platforms and online merchandising

Understanding of product photography and presentation for online sales

Comfortable working outdoors in a farm environment with animals

Creative eye for capturing authentic, engaging moments

Experience with photo/video editing software and social media management tools

Knowledge of social media best practices and platform-specific content strategies

Familiarity with print-on-demand services and merchandise fulfillment options

Experience with Google ads, SEO, and search placement

Self-motivated and able to work independently

Preferred

Passion for agriculture, animals, and/or agritourism is a plus

Local to Sacramento area or willing to travel to the farm regularly for content creation
