Responsibilities
Manage the Chair’s appointment calendar and coordinate daily activities
Prepare agendas, schedule meetings, and support departmental communications
Draft and respond to correspondence on behalf of the Chair
Arrange and process travel requests, reimbursements, and PCard expense reports using Workday
Coordinate travel and lodging for guests and visitors
Maintain office supplies and oversee general administrative needs
Organize and manage faculty promotion and tenure documentation and activities
Assist with faculty and staff recruitment, including interview coordination
Maintain faculty CVs and prepare administrative reports (e.g., program reviews, accreditation self-studies, strategic plans)
Support the development and maintenance of departmental documents such as the Pattern of Administration and Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure guidelines
Manage faculty and staff performance evaluations and related documentation
Collaborate effectively with team members and perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED
Certification or vocational training may be required
Minimum of 4 years of relevant administrative experience
Associate degree in a relevant field preferred
Experience with Workday or similar systems preferred
Preferred
6 or more years of administrative experience in a higher education or research environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other administrative tools
Familiarity with university policies and procedures
