Law Practice
Responsibilities
Handle all phases of civil litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation
Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and case strategy analyses
Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and taking/defending depositions
Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
Assist with trial preparation and courtroom appearances as needed
Manage a caseload with appropriate supervision while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work product
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school
Admitted to practice and in good standing in Wisconsin
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Experience with discovery, motion practice, and client communication
Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and work both independently and collaboratively
Strong attention to detail and sound professional judgment
Preferred
2+ years of experience in civil litigation preferred
