Mid, Senior LevelExcelon Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Oracle PL/SQL and kdb+/q Developer to design, develop, and optimize high-performance data solutions. The role involves working with large datasets and time-series data, primarily in the financial services or trading domain, while collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver efficient solutions.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages
Develop and optimize kdb+/q scripts for time-series data ingestion, transformation, and querying
Integrate Oracle RDBMS with kdb+ to support hybrid data solutions
Collaborate with business analysts, quants, and traders to understand requirements and deliver efficient solutions
Perform database performance tuning , including query optimization and indexing strategies
Implement data quality checks, validation, and reconciliation processes
Provide production support , troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
Create and maintain technical documentation and best practices
Qualification
Required
Strong experience with advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages
Expertise in performance tuning and query optimization
Hands-on experience writing efficient q queries and functions
Strong understanding of time-series data models and tick data processing
Experience designing data models for relational and time-series databases
Knowledge of memory and performance optimization in kdb+
Strong experience in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
Experience with real-time market data feeds (Bloomberg, Reuters, FIX)
Knowledge of Python or Java for integration with Oracle and kdb+
Exposure to Kafka, Spark, or streaming platforms is an advantage
