Responsibilities

Architect, build, and maintain standardized Ubuntu/RHEL desktop images (preferably LTS)
Automate provisioning and post-install configuration using scripting and configuration management tools
Implement and collaborate on security controls including MFA, disk encryption, and endpoint hardening
Partner with IT and Security teams to meet compliance and operational requirements
Create and maintain support documentation, workflows, and playbooks
Serve as Tier 2/3 escalation support during pilot, rollout, and ongoing operations

Required

5+ years of Linux desktop administration (Ubuntu/RHEL preferred)
Strong automation and scripting skills (Bash, Ansible, cloud-init, or similar)
Experience with desktop imaging and build tools (e.g., Cubic, Packer, Clonezilla)
Knowledge of identity and access integration (LDAP/AD, PAM, MFA tooling)
Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively across teams

Preferred

Experience with Linux fleet or configuration management tools (e.g., Landscape, Rudder)
Familiarity with enterprise ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
Exposure to MDM or Jamf-like workflows for Linux endpoints
