Assembly Technician
Brightsmith is representing a global OEM in the energy technology sector, supplying Flow Control and Safety Solutions that support reliable power generation and industrial operations worldwide. They are looking for 10 full-time Assembly Operators focused on the assembly, testing, and preparation of generator systems and components.
Responsibilities
Set up and install generator rotors, including two pole and four pole rotor preparations
Install fans, ventilation rings, slip rings, and exciter assemblies
Complete preparatory work such as cleaning threads and contact surfaces and assembling internal generator components
Assemble bearing shields, exciter units, noise barriers, coolers, and mechanical generator parts
Perform dimensional measurements and electrical insulation resistance tests during assembly
Support oil and water distribution systems in the test room, ensuring correct alignment and operation
Assemble and secure special components including rotor couplings and fan blades
Carry out installation and maintenance activities in balancing tunnels, including seating in bearings and pre balancing procedures
Prepare and maintain a safe, organized workplace in line with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
Qualification
Required
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Strong attention to detail with a consistent focus on quality
Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally
Clear communication skills and an inclusive, team oriented working style
High school diploma, GED, or vocational qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline
Experience in mechanical assembly with basic electrical training or exposure
Preferred
Knowledge of power generation or rotating equipment is beneficial but not required
