Responsibilities
Support the structuring, diligence, documentation, and execution of tax equity and debt financings for a portfolio of commercial- and industrial-scale distributed generation solar PV and battery energy storage projects
Act as the primary internal legal lead for financing transactions
Coordinate, supervise, and direct outside counsel to ensure efficient execution, consistency of documentation and risk positions, adherence to transaction timelines, and cost-effective use of external legal resources
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership
Minimum of 5yrs of experience supporting corporate, project finance, or other complex financing transactions
Experience with financing-related legal diligence and transactional documentation
Familiarity with debt and/or tax equity financings, particularly in the energy, infrastructure, or renewables sector
Strong analytical, drafting, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred
Experience in the renewable energy industry - specifically with IPPs or Developers
Exposure to portfolio-level or multi-asset transactions is helpful
