Responsibilities
Enforce owner/program standards while reviewing architecture and engineering designs
Review and provide guidance on proposed site development designs and reports such as test fits, geotech reports and civil designs
Generate owner requirements, specifications and guidelines
Serve as Google’s in-house consultant, advisor, and authorized civil engineering technical representative through all phases of the projects
Work with the internal Google stakeholder groups, related consultants, design consultants, construction management firms, and construction contractors to execute the design or construction contract(s) on behalf of Google
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent practical experience
Professional Engineer's license
5 years of experience in Civil/Structural or Site Engineering
Experience with building design, coordination, and construction
Experience implementing civil/structural engineering principles (e.g., grading and drainage, hydraulic modeling, sediment control, erosion control, or soil migration)
Preferred
Master's degree in Chartered engineering, civil engineering, structural engineering or a related field
Knowledge of site layout, grading, drainage, road and infrastructure layouts
Knowledge of industry construction means and methods
Ability to communicate technical issues effectively in written and verbal forms with special consideration given to online collaboration and presentations
Ability to work in a team/collaborative environment
