Court Services Supervisor 1 - Civil Division (REPOST)

Responsibilities
Assignment, distribution, and review of work
Coordinating and planning the work activities of assigned team members
Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the entry of pleadings into Judiciary databases
Conducting formal evaluations of staff performance
Coaching and mentoring staff
Recommending personnel actions (e.g. hiring, promotion, disciplining, etc.)
Overseeing the proper implementation of operating procedures or systems
Preparing technical, statistical, or evaluation reports
Analysis of cases in accordance with court rules and directives to determine case track and case management
Making recommendations to management regarding improvements in operating procedures, work processes, or administrative practices
Answering questions and providing information to internal and external customers
Acting as a liaison between Superior Court Judges and upper management
Working with external agencies to ensure compliance with set data entry standards
Performing other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of paraprofessional and/or professional experience, one year of which shall have included experience in case management; enforcement of court orders; and/or supervision, monitoring and intervention of offenders
Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits
An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
A master's degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above
A law degree from an approved American Bar Association law school may be substituted for two years of general experience as indicated above
Driver's License: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position
Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations
Special Note: Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting
Residency Law: In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the 'New Jersey First Act,' all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey
