Responsibilities
Work directly with customers throughout onboarding, implementation, and post-deployment phases, including ongoing advice and support
Design and implement customer-specific configurations using the Halon Scripting Language (HSL, https://docs.halon.io/hsl)
Translate existing email setups and configurations into Halon-based solutions
Troubleshoot complex production environments involving email flows, Linux systems, containers, and networking
Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers via Slack, a support ticketing system, and technical calls
Qualification
Required
Solid programming or scripting experience (e.g. Python, Perl, PHP)
Deep experience working with Linux in complex production environments
Email is part of your technical DNA, including SMTP, DNS, as well as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
Containers: Docker, strong Kubernetes and Helm experience is highly valued
Configuration and automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
Git, YAML/JSON, REST APIs
Experience with Elasticsearch/Kibana or similar observability stacks
Familiarity with storage systems used in production environments
You have a clients-first mindset and enjoy working directly with customers on complex technical challenges and take pride in helping them succeed in production
You are analytical, curious, and enjoy diving deep into complex systems and edge cases
You care deeply about quality, reliability, and correctness in what you deliver
You communicate clearly and collaborate well with both customers and internal teams
You take ownership, work independently, are comfortable in a remote-first environment (preferably US East Coast), and are willing to offer some time flexibility to accommodate our EU operations
Preferred
Experience with email products like PowerMTA, Momentum, Postfix, or similar is a strong plus
