InternPublix Super Markets is committed to developing its associates through its Summer Internship Program, which prepares young professionals for various workplace opportunities. This internship will focus on environmental compliance, where interns will engage in projects related to hazardous waste management and regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities
Work with facility onsite contacts to determine what regulated and non-regulated waste is generated onsite
Work with an outside vendor to collect waste samples and determine test methods that are needed for that sample
Implement a new compliance reference guide for each facility to include: regulated and non-regulated waste onsite, waste collection and test method used to analyze waste sample and date of next sample collection
Qualification
Required
Must be an actively enrolled student not graduating prior to the start of the Summer Internship Program in May; or If graduating from a bachelor's degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester; or If graduating from a master's degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester
Must be pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Sustainability, Engineering, Science, Analytical Chemistry Biology or related field and be a current sophomore or above (rising junior or above as of the program start in Summer 2026) or a graduate student
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred
Internship or experience in federal, state, or local regulatory agencies
