Cayuga Centers is an accredited non-profit human services agency dedicated to family support and preservation, trauma-informed care, and serving vulnerable populations. They are seeking a Foster Home Recruiter and Licensor to find foster families for unaccompanied children and ensure the safety and compliance of foster homes.

Responsibilities
Screen and educate prospective foster parents to understand the needs of children and youth, and how following our models of care meets those needs
Recruit, train, and facilitate certification of foster parents. Training may include: PRIDE, TCIF, TST, NTDC, MAPP, or equivalent state training
Conduct initial and follow-up training of foster parents
Certify Foster Homes and maintain compliance with ORR and OCFS policies and procedures
Build relationships with community leaders and mobilize agency staff, partners, and existing foster parents to help recruit new foster parents and raise awareness about foster care
Track and maintain foster home years certification
Ensure each foster home is equipped with tools and resources to provide a safe and healthy lifestyle for the population served
Maintain proper communication with foster parents
Serve as a resource and trouble-shooter to foster families; maintain motivation and treatment participation of foster parents, and ensure a good working relationship with foster parents
Conduct biweekly foster parent meetings
Travel within the 5 boroughs
Responsible for maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of those served
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree with 2 years of UC experience - required
Strong communication and organizational skills - required
Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) - required
Bilingual: English/Spanish - required
Ability to handle confidential material in a responsible manner
Demonstrated ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and to exercise greater judgement
Must be available to work afternoons, evenings, holidays, and weekends - required
Preferred
Experience working in a busy human services office - strongly preferred
Child welfare experience - strongly preferred
