Responsibilities
Build and own Python backend services from design through production
Design clean, high-performance APIs using FastAPI
Implement asynchronous, event-driven workflows and stateful systems
Model and query complex relational, geospatial, and time-based data
Develop reliable pub/sub and background processing systems
Deploy and operate containerized services with a focus on stability and observability
Qualification
Required
8+ years of backend engineering experience (Python)
Strong API and service design experience in production environments
Solid PostgreSQL skills, including schema design and query optimization
Experience building async systems and event-driven workflows
Comfortable working with Docker and modern deployment pipelines
Strong engineering fundamentals and a sense of ownership
