Responsibilities

Lead the business development strategy for Advisory, BDO Zones, and FSI
Drive consultative, solution-focused sales with developers, investors, policymakers, and financial institutions
Build and expand long-term client relationships across North America
Manage and coach the BD/BDO Zone team with clear targets and KPIs
Represent Ecostrat at industry events and through thought leadership
Collaborate with Advisory, FSI, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless client delivery

Qualification

Required

Ten to twelve years of successful sales experience in the bioenergy, clean tech, or environmental sectors
Excellent understanding of consultative and solution-based sales with the ability to articulate financial and risk-based value propositions and close deals
Skilled, poised communicator with strong proposal development and relationship management abilities. Very comfortable working with C-suite executives, investors, and technical experts alike
A high-energy committed self-starter—curious, persistent, and motivated by results
Proven success managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles—from initial outreach to contract negotiation
Technologically savvy with the ability to leverage AI to enhance sales strategies and execution
Highly disciplined and organized with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
Leadership skills to manage the Business Development Team
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, finance, or a related field

Preferred

Familiarity or experience with capital markets, project finance, risk mitigation instruments, or renewable energy markets is an asset
MBA preferred
