Property and Revenue Compliance Manager

The Property & Revenue Compliance Manager ensures compliance with multi-state requirements related to property taxes and financial documentation while collaborating with various departments to ensure accuracy and timely filings.

Responsibilities

Maintain multi-state annual tax filing calendars for personal property taxes
Prepare and file personal property tax returns, affidavits, exemption forms, and corresponding documentation
Review assessment notices; coordinate corrections or appeals where appropriate
Track and verify personal property tax payments to ensure all deadlines are met
Maintain electronic filing records, assessments, appeals, and correspondence
Prepare and submit unclaimed property reports for all applicable states
Review vendor aging reports, open credits, and community receivable balances to identify discrepancies or overdue accounts
Coordinate with vendors and communities to resolve outstanding credit balances, documentation gaps, or invoicing errors
Complete, submit, and track vendor credit applications for new vendors or service providers, ensuring all required financial information, compliance documentation, and references are accurate and up-to-date
Investigate and reconcile open balances to determine required actions (collections, adjustments, write-offs, or reclasses)
Provide training, guidance, and support to Business Office Managers and Executive Directors

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Compliance, or related field or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in accounts receivable, collections management, asset recovery, or compliance
Experience in multi-site or regulated environments
Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills
Must meet all health requirements, including Health screening and TB clearance
Must pass state required fingerprinting and criminal background process
Must maintain all life safety CEUs and company required certifications
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel for data analysis
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with C-suite executives, Regional teams, community staff, and external partners
Strong strategic thinking abilities with proven capacity to develop long-term maintenance programs and translate them into actionable plans
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with experience in complex decision-making
Proven leadership abilities with experience in direct supervision, team development, and change management initiatives
