Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

LHH is seeking an experienced Director of Financial Planning to lead client-facing financial planning initiatives while driving revenue growth and sales strategy. This role combines advanced financial planning expertise with sales leadership and advisor support, along with overseeing sales compensation plans that align advisor behavior with firm growth objectives.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and delivery of comprehensive financial plans, including retirement, estate, tax-aware strategies, and risk management
Partner with advisors on client meetings, plan presentations, and closing opportunities to drive revenue
Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of sales compensation plans for financial planning and advisory teams
Ensure compensation structures align with growth targets, compliance requirements, and advisor incentives
Drive financial planning revenue through new client acquisition and expansion of existing client relationships
Build scalable financial planning processes, tools, and workflows
Mentor and support advisors and planners to improve technical depth, sales effectiveness, and client outcomes
Collaborate with leadership on pricing strategy, performance metrics, and growth initiatives
Maintain compliance with regulatory, fiduciary, and internal standards
Track and report financial planning revenue, sales performance, and compensation effectiveness

Required

7+ years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or advisory services
Proven success in revenue-generating, client-facing planning roles

Preferred

Experience designing or managing sales compensation plans preferred
