The Quality & Logistics Supervisor will oversee in-plant inspection and shipping logistics, ensuring safety, quality standards, and productivity while managing a team of inspectors and shippers.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the leadership of a team of nonexempt employees (Inspectors/Shippers)
Provide leadership to ensure safe work areas, environments, practices, and behaviors
Manage resources to optimize productivity and cost effectiveness
Leverage Sales and Operating Planning methodologies to optimize balance between demand and supply
Ensure compliance and execution associated with the Quality Management Systems
Plans, organizes and assigns the workflow of the team and ensures that safety and quality standards are met and production schedules are achieved following Manufacturing / Quality established methods
Instructs assigned personnel on processes, policies and procedures and coordinates with staff and designated support groups to resolve problems
Plans, organizes, and makes work assignments consistent with job classifications and employee ability
Responsibilities include technical interpretation and compliance with prescribed Manufacturing / Quality / Test processes and procedures
Maintain shipping documentation, including records of shipments, Certificates of Conformance, etc
Prepare and analyze shipping reports to identify opportunities for process improvements for efficiency gains and cost reduction
Optimize the use of shipping tools, materials, and resources
Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international shipping regulations
Provide a strong focus on developing talent throughout the organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree is preferred
Experience with the Defense Contract Management Agency a plus
Bias for action and quickly resolving difficult problems
Able to creatively achieve mission objectives while maintaining compliance and the highest standards of quality
Variation Reduction and Waste Elimination skills
Green/Black Belt certification a plus
Able to work autonomously, with limited direction
Excellent computer skills, especially with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel)
Excellent organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills
