Lead Technician, Quality Assurance

Responsibilities

Own and maintain the calibration and maintenance process including scheduling, tracking and documentation within CERDAC
Coordinate calibration activities with vendors, suppliers and internal teams
Manage a large population of gages and assets across the full value stream ensuring equipment is in calibration and available for use
Address out of tolerate conditions, nonconformances, and documentation within the QMS
Partner closely with manufacturing, engineering and quality teams to plan calibration activities, communicate status and support production needs
Support and drive continuous improvement, training, and adherence to calibration procedures and SOP's
Medium Work: ability to exert up to 50lbs occasionally and 20lbs regularly
Strong visual acuity and cognitive ability to identify and document minute inconsistencies
Ability to clearly explain calibration procedures, deficiencies and technical rationales to engineering and manufacturing leadership

Required

High School Diploma
5+ years of related experience
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of assets
Strong communication skills
Ability to operate as a leader of self proactively managing priorities and resolving issues without direct supervision
Familiarity with handheld gaging and measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gage pins, sterilizers)
Medium Work: ability to exert up to 50lbs occasionally and 20lbs regularly
Strong visual acuity and cognitive ability to identify and document minute inconsistencies
Ability to clearly explain calibration procedures, deficiencies and technical rationales to engineering and manufacturing leadership

Preferred

ASQ certification
Strong working knowledge of calibration systems
Formal ISO 13485 QMS training
Experience in regulated manufacturing environments
