Responsibilities
Working knowledge of physical IT infrastructure components
Experience installing in-cabinet, uplink and structured cabling solutions
Experience using an Incident/Change request application and resolve critical technical issues
Neatly lace and dress copper and fiber optic cables
Terminate fiber using quick connects and fusion splicers
Lace and terminate copper cables (CAT6/6A)
Test and troubleshoot copper and fiber optic cables using VERSIV, smart network tester and OTDR
Ability to read and understand blueprints and Scope of Work
Label fiber optics and copper cables, patch panels, and racks/cabinets
Ability to create and maintain as-built and update technical documentations
Track and inventory material
Maintain a safe working environment
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in a data center environment
OSHA 10 or 30
Ability to pass a background check
Ability to work from ladders
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
Ability to regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Willing to report to the same jobsite 95% of the time
Work overtime as needed
Other duties as necessary
Ability to travel 10-15%
