Responsibilities
Execute specific and moderately complex components of broader engineering assignments with precision and attention to detail
Systematically gather, analyze, and correlate essential engineering data using established and well-defined procedures to ensure project accuracy and compliance
Undertake detailed engineering assignments involving complex calculations and sophisticated testing methodologies
Develop innovative approaches to address novel engineering challenges by adapting standard procedures or methods refined through previous assignments
Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by rigorously adhering to agreed-upon budgets and schedules with minimal supervision
Autonomously perform all necessary tasks to complete primary design elements for engineering works, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision
Qualification
Required
BA/BS plus four years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PE Certification or ability to obtain within a year
Preferred
Experience with Civil3D and/or OpenRoads
Experience with NYSDOT and similar projects
Experience in roadway and street design including horizontal and vertical alignments of roadways, Work Zone Traffic Control, ADA compliance, sustainable design and grading / drainage design
