Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of an experienced Biomedical Equipment Services Technician, perform and document equipment incoming acceptance inspections
Under the direct supervision of an experienced Biomedical Equipment Services Technician, complete and document scheduled maintenance on medical equipment
Under the direct supervision of an experienced Biomedical Equipment Services Technician, troubleshoot, repair medical equipment and document activities
Under the supervision of an experienced Biomedical Equipment Services Technician, Supervisor or Manager, document all service and maintenance related activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Under the supervision of an experienced Biomedical Equipment Services Technician, Supervisor or Manager, conduct rounds throughout the hospital
Become familiar, and act in accordance with applicable Federal, State and Local regulations governing the repair and maintenance of medical devices
Represent the Department of Clinical Engineering & Biomedical Equipment Services in a compassionate, professional manor to all patients, guests and OSF Healthcare Mission
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in, and having completed the first year of an Associates Degree program for Biomedical Equipment Repair, Electronics or other related field OR
Currently enrolled in, and completed the second year of a Bachelors Degree program for Biomedical Equipment Repair, Electronics or other related field
Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications
