They are seeking a Senior Transportation Electrical Engineer (Supervisor) to supervise and coordinate the activities of the Office of Transportation Management, overseeing electrical engineering work and managing technicians involved in various transportation systems.

Responsibilities

Supervising and coordinating the activities of the Office of Transportation Management
In charge of difficult electrical engineering work involving the supervision of journey level engineering technicians and operators engaged in Work Zone Management Systems, Traffic Control Systems, Transportation Management Systems, and Transportation Management Center (TMC) Software Applications
Supervise deployment of changeable message signs (CMS) and highway advisory radio (HAR) systems
Oversee the timely submission of all duty pages on the State Highway System and coordinate with headquarters regarding all major incidents
Represent the District while managing traffic for special events which involve lane closures and/or full detours

Required

Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle
Demonstrate your ability to apply the knowledge obtained from education and/or work experience required for the position of Senior Transportation Electrical Engineer for Transportation Management Center
Demonstrate your ability to effectively plan, organize, and balance multiple conflicting priorities to achieve the highest-level outcomes for an organization and develop timely, innovative, and economical solutions
Demonstrate your ability to develop networks, build alliances, partner with various agencies, and establish rapport with various types of personalities
Demonstrate your ability to communicate and present recommendations and information internally and externally through excellent oral and written communication skills and methods
Candidates selected for this position must successfully pass a Department of Justice background check and the incumbent is also required to sign CHP Form 101A annually
Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment
