Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial roofing projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs
Review project plans and specifications to determine project scope and requirements
Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project needs and expectations
Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimates
Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals in a timely manner
Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain cost-effective pricing
Analyze past project data to improve future estimating processes and accuracy
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies in commercial roofing

Required

Proven experience as a Commercial Roofing Estimator or similar role in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including EPDM, PVC, and TPO
Proficient in estimating software and tools, with experience in Edge Estimating preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills to perform accurate cost calculations
Strong communication and negotiation skills for interacting with clients and subcontractors
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the roofing industry

Preferred

Experience in Edge Estimating preferred
