Responsibilities

Gather and analyze employment and wage data, industry classifications, physical locations, and occupational details for federal statistical programs
Maintaining 80% employment or 70%-unit data accuracy by reviewing, verifying, and updating industry and county codes from returned Annual Refile Survey responses
Industrial coding
Reviewing Multiple Worksite Reports
Entering data into QUEST
Analyzing and editing assigned NAICS codes in BLS systems in line with quarterly EQUI deliverable deadlines
Supporting the use of QUEST systems to fulfill QCEW BLS deliverables

Qualification

Required

Strong background in mathematics, statistics or data analysis
Proficiency using Microsoft Excel & Word
All applicants must have a valid driver's license and pass an extensive background check

Preferred

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of experience
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or related field
Training in public speaking and specialized training in gathering and interpreting statistical data
At least 2 years' experience in the field of employment security or related experience in data analysis, economics modeling or statistics preferred
Experience using Microsoft Excel & Word
