This role focuses on managing the development and maintenance of Vehicle Management Systems software for fighter programs, overseeing the full software development lifecycle and collaborating with various engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Managers perform engineering and technical activities in the area of Software Engineering. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manages, develops and motivates employees

Qualification

VMS Software DevelopmentProgram/Project ManagementAirworthiness CertificationGuidance Navigation ControlTechnical Management

Required

Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start)
5+ years' experience as a Program/Project Management
5+ years' experience in VMS Software Development

Preferred

Prior experience with airworthiness certification (Level Of Rigor (LOR)1, 516C, DO-178, 882E)
Prior experience working F-15 and/or F/A-18
Prior experience working GNC
