Responsibilities
Gather, maintain, format, compile, and analyze technical data (lab results, material testing, engineering changes)
Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics
Prepare reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis
Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks
Assist with equipment scoping, qualification, and validation
Support general lab functions, including calibration, safety procedures, and routine equipment maintenance
Develop prototype processes and test setups
Execute test protocols and conduct testing
Document and communicate test results effectively
Handle test samples and chemicals used for conditioning and testing
Notify management of issues that may impact project timelines or outcomes
Train and support lower-level technicians (Tech 3 level)
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 8 years of experience in: A laboratory environment (corporate or academic), or A technician role in a regulated environment
Experience following written procedures and working collaboratively in a team setting
Preferred
Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline
2–4 years of experience in a laboratory or R&D environment
