Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients with a welcoming and professional demeanor
Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and manage calendars
Verify insurance information and collect co-pays/payments
Maintain and update patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Coordinate communication between patients, clinical staff, and providers
Handle incoming mail, faxes, and general office correspondence
Assist with daily office operations, including filing, scanning, and maintaining front office organization
Ensure HIPAA compliance and always protect patient confidentiality
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in medical office administration a plus
At least one year experience in a similar role
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Professional, friendly, and dependable with a patient-centered approach
Preferred
Prior experience in a medical front office or healthcare setting strongly preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification a plus
Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
