Responsibilities
Responsible to ensure safety amongst associates in the facility relating to chemical, weather, environmental, machine safety or ergonomics
Values safety for yourself and others around you
Provide oversight and direction for day-to-day compliance with applicable air, hazardous waste, wastewater and storm water permits, plans, regulations, etc
Ability to interpret environmental laws and permit requirements, stay abreast of the changing regulatory landscape and analyze the various options for complying with new regulations and permit requirements
Conduct IH testing as needed/required Provide training for associates to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements
Lead plant in maintaining ISO 14001 certification and ensuring continued compliance
Ensure all work performed complies with all environmental and hazardous waste procedures, plans, policies and requirements
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
BS Environmental Engineering or similar degree with 3 or more years of relevant experience
Ability to speak, read and write English
Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function
