Responsibilities
Assist with the installation, servicing, programming and maintenance of both IP and analog-based security systems, including access control, video management, intrusion detection, IP intercoms, and mass communication systems
Support the development of project documentation by providing input for accurate “as-built” drawings
Assist with troubleshooting, documenting, and installing low-voltage systems
Attend construction meetings as required for individual projects
Interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical specifications to determine proper installation procedures
Learn current on emerging technologies to deliver innovative and effective solutions to clients
Provide excellent customer service
Attend and perform training functions as necessary
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
18 years or older
Strong analytical skills in solving software and integration challenges
Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications
Some working knowledge of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and willingness to accept responsibility and accountability
Strong customer service and analytical skills
Ability to interact with all levels of personnel to include department managers, project managers, engineers, sales, and controls technicians
Ability to legally drive a company vehicle
Preferred
Enrollment in an Electronic Technical Program, Information Technology degree program or similar field of study strongly preferred
