Hallmark Media is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis - Content Intern for the summer. The role involves various projects focused on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for content and programming initiatives, while collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Analyze trends in programming costs, prepare forecasts for corporate submissions, and explain variance between forecasted and actual results
Maintain financial models to assess content investment decisions, amortization schedules, and ultimate revenue projections
Identify opportunities to automate key operational processes and assist in implementation
Support adoption of new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Assist the FP&A team on ad-hoc projects as needed

Required

Rising junior or recent graduate from a four-year university, with a major in Business (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Business Administration) or relevant quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Economics, Mathematics)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are a must)
Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the entertainment industry
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong eye for detail, an ability to meet deadlines, a positive attitude, and an eagerness to contribute
Well-organized and excels at time management, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow directions, but not hesitant to ask questions
Strong interpersonal skills; works well collaboratively and independently
Enthusiasm for TV shows and movies and knowledge of entertainment business models
