Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for receiving operations and receiving staff
Oversee daily receiving workflow, workload distribution, and task prioritization
Assign and reassign work to Receiving Clerks as needed to meet daily objectives
Provide coverage planning for absences and peak workload periods
Escalate unresolved issues, discrepancies, or delays to the supervisor
Respond to internal phone and email requests related to receiving activities
Coordinate inventory movement between main and offsite warehouse locations
Oversee and monitor shipping and warehouse inventory levels across locations for internal replenishment purposes
Ensure all inter-warehouse transfers are accurately recorded and processed in the ERP system
Act as the operational liaison with third-party warehouse partners, including:
Inventory coordination
Delivery scheduling
Support during inbound and outbound shipments
Notify Purchasing of low stock levels and inventory discrepancies
Work closely with stockroom team leads to support daily shipping requirements
Ensure all outbound shipments are ready and picked up by carriers at the end of the day
Monitor shipping execution to prevent delays or missed pickups
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency in warehouse and receiving areas
Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies
Support process improvements related to receiving, inventory control, and warehouse coordination
Participate in special projects or continuous improvement initiatives as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or minimum of 5 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Forklift certification is preferred but not required
