Sterilization Quality Engineer Summer Intern 2026

Responsibilities
Engaging in specific functional area tasks or projects, which may involve research, data analysis, teamwork, presentation development, strategy design to support changes and improvements to sterilization and supporting processes
Acting as a regular full-time staff member by adhering to BSC’s rules and regulations, maintaining professional and personable conduct with staff and customers, and complying with Boston Scientific’s confidentiality and professional policies
Gaining a thorough understanding of their responsibilities, business and operational issues, BSC’s management, and relevant company-specific matters
Assisting in the creation and production of proposals and reports using word processing, spreadsheets, and other software tools
Preparing and presenting an oral and written evaluation to Management upon completing the internship
Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and internal BSC requirements further ensuring patient safety
Candidate projects are prioritized to reflect savings and value to the site which may include time savings, cost avoidance, and nonconformance mitigation
Analysis and improvements to nonconformance data to reduce the occurrence or mitigate risks of failure
Standardization of sterile review steps and work instructions to streamline review processes and prevent human error
Qualification
Required
Must graduate between Fall 2026 – Spring 2027
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th – August 7th OR May 26th – August 14th, 2026
Experience in data analysis using Minitab, Power BI, or similar software
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
Must have reliable transportation to commute to Boston Scientific's Coventry, Rhode Island, location
Eager to work in dynamic, cross-functional teams to uphold quality engineering practices that meet BSC, customer, and regulatory standards
Preferred
Desire to work in fast-paced Cross-Functional Teams to maintain and support quality engineering methodologies, systems, and practices that meet BSC, customer, and regulatory requirements
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
