Responsibilities
Lead design teams to develop construction-ready drawing packages with inter-discipline coordination
Develop strong industry relationships with other design professionals
Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, data collection for power system studies, electrical system audits and collaboration with clients’ team members
Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as NFPA, NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UFC, UBC as well as international standards such as IEC, CE, EN
Fluency in design and modeling software (AutoCAD, Revit, Elum Tools, BIM360, SKM, Etap, EDSA, Easy Power)
Inter-discipline knowledge of facility systems
Competent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Experience developing solutions to complex projects
Perform various system studies (arc flash, load, short circuit, coordination)
Support proposal efforts to win design work
Work with designers to develop sealed drawings of your designs
Provide mentoring to junior staff
Qualification
Required
BS in electrical engineering or equivalent
10+ years of experience, varies with credentials
State-issued professional engineering license
Design experience producing IFC drawings for industrial and other facilities
Competent presentation and communications skills
Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as NFPA, NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UFC, UBC as well as international standards such as IEC, CE, EN
Fluency in design and modeling software (AutoCAD, Revit, Elum Tools, BIM360, SKM, Etap, EDSA, Easy Power)
Inter-discipline knowledge of facility systems
Competent analytical and troubleshooting skills
