Splice Service Technician

Responsibilities
Connecting, disconnecting, testing, repairing, maintaining, installing and rearranging Company and customer-provided equipment, inside wiring, and wires at poles, underground or building terminals
Making necessary preparations required for splicing, rearranging and terminating cable conductors
Installing, repairing, maintaining, and testing access lines for all types of equipment and technology
Operating trucks and equipment needed to perform work operations in a safe manner
Reading and interpreting engineering plans and vendor specifications
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, perceiving differences in wire and cable colors, and distinguishing audio tones
Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as determined by the needs of the business
Qualification
Required
Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
Preferred
Related Associate Degree or 2 or more years' relevant experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
