Front Desk Receptionist/Scheduler
Gottsche Performance & Longevity Centers is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist/Scheduler to handle front office reception and ensure patient satisfaction. The role involves scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and assisting with billing information and insurance processes.

Responsibilities
Schedules appointments for physical therapy, occupational therapy, home health and school patients
Maintains patient electronic medical records
Enters patient information and scans patient documentation into the electronic medical record
Schedules Home Health appointments
Any duties as requested by either the CAO/COO/CEO
Attends and participates in Administrative and/or Front Desk meetings
Answers all calls coming into the Gottsche switchboard
Transfers calls to appropriate personnel
Calls patients to remind or schedule appointments
Assists patients with billing information, collects payments, co-payments
Calls insurance companies to complete the pre-admission process and get authorizations for services
Runs credit card payments, in-house and recurring, for facility
Works closely with therapists to ensure an acceptable workflow
Coordinates PT and OT schedules to help with coverage at other facilities as needed
Ensures that Plan of Care documentation is signed & returned by physicians in a timely manner
Reports and works with the Administrative Team for the financial management of Gottsche
Decorates clinic as appropriate for holidays
Opens and closes the front desk and facility
Completes other duties as assigned
Assists with inventories and orders therapist supplies
Arranges facility birthdays and receptions
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum high school diploma
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Prior receptionist experience
Ability to work with little supervision
Ability to prioritize and use critical thinking skills
Participates in HIPAA training and awareness programs and abides by all privacy and security rules as required by Federal Law under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996
Ability to attend educational training on billing, insurance, reimbursement, Medicare, etc
Excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent computer skills
Exceptional ability to work with employees under fast-paced working conditions
Must meet all requirements of Gottsche's automobile insurance carrier
