Responsibilities
Manage multiple, variable tasks and data review processes to support business request for data from the data warehouse with minimal supervision from supervisor and/or manager
Analyzes and advises management of workflow issues and data integrity problems and offers recommendations on resolution
Loads the data dictionary and business glossary with agreed upon terms, metadata, definitions, descriptions, and related values
Develops reference materials (application data relationship, BI data models, etc.) for supported data processing technologies to be used for both online and in-person training of other technical staff with minimal supervision from supervisor and/or manager
Manages assigned projects and meets deadlines with moderate supervision from supervisor and/or manager
Assists Business Analysts with the development of training programs and materials to train end-users and mentor and develop team members
Interfaces with clients, vendors, and other teams on multi-faceted projects involving data intelligence
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, health care systems or equivalent work experience
Minimum four years' experience in working with enterprise data sources and BI tools in a financial or healthcare environment
Valid Virginia drivers' license and dependable transportation
A minimum of one of the following certifications are required: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP)
Good organizational skills, analytical, dependable, detail oriented, interpersonal skills, and understanding of the English language (both written and oral)
Must have thorough understanding of the 7-layer OSI model
Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be customer service oriented
Preferred
Dimensional Databases, Cubes And Columnar Data Structures Experience
Data profiling and data quality analysis experience
Experience translating business needs into data architecture specifications
Experience supporting application users
Experience with Business Objects, Oracle, or Cognos tools
Familiarity with IBM InfoSphere and IBM data models
