Responsibilities

Responsible for the corporate growth plan through branch deposit $$ average balance increases, household increases, consumer lending base increases, deposit service fee increases, cross sale ratio, and partnering line of business referrals as well as engaging, motivating, and leading staff to act on and support these initiatives
Responsible for leading and executing sales team meetings. Coordinate weekly joint sales calls to grow business relationships with other line of business leaders (Treasury management, Wealth Management, Commercial lenders, and Small business lenders). Build a consistent and active retail pipeline
Solicit and take appropriate action from information gained from customers concerning the bank’s products and delivery mechanisms, reviewing branch procedures on an on-going basis and recommending revisions as necessary, developing new procedures/automation to improve efficiency within the branch network
Be the Retail line of business public representative. Represent Sunflower Bank in a favorable light and willingly participate in all assigned duties and responsibilities as well as advancing the image of the bank and promoting the community through participation in outside service organizations
Provide effective supervision of staff. Ensure written performance plans are developed for staff members, including training, performance goals and objectives. Conduct regular meetings with the employees to review their performance against these objectives. Prepare and conduct written performance reviews for all direct reports in a timely basis
Partner with HR for recruiting, selection, placement and retention and bank policy
Maintain highly qualified staff at the branch that adheres to the latest approved allocation. This includes management and placing a floater pool if available
Ensure a legendary customer service standard is upheld across the market to include upholding all customer service non-negotiables, i.e. greet customers with a warm, sincere smile, appropriate use of handshake, learn & use customer’s name, process customer requests in a timely & accurate manner, take ownership of customer complaints and ensure resolution and customer satisfaction, provide warm & sincere thank you
Plan and assign daily goals, tasks and assignments assuring proper completion and follow-up, which may include performing the duties of Associate Manager, Banker II and/or Banker I
Daily monitoring and management of all office tasks including CTR, optical reports, NSF, Teller cash errors, FTE levels and payroll as needed
Ensure branch adherence to all company policies and procedures
Act as a branch security representative and enforce the Security Policy
Partner with all other departments and build working relationships across markets/lines of businesses to ensure open 2 way communication across the board and chain of command

Required

Two to five years of similar or related experience with working knowledge of bank operations
Exceptional customer service, sales, leadership, decision-making, writing, analytical, organizational, training, oral presentation, supervisory and management skills
Must be able to relate well with others and build effective business relationships to successfully perform the job
Sound judgement and decision making skills
Proficiency with math calculations
Computer proficiency in a Windows environment
Sales ability and persuasiveness
Professional appearance and manner
Interpersonal skills to include a significant level of trust, diplomacy, courtesy and tact
Ability to develop and achieve Branch/Market goals in accordance with defined parameters
Must be able to work flexible hours
