Regulatory Compliance Spec II - Raw Materials

They are seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance Specialist II to ensure compliance with regulations for raw materials and provide support to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities
Submit information to outside certification agencies MANE works with for Organic, Kosher, Halal, etc. Track certification process of raw materials for audit purposes
Assist in the regulatory review of supplier-provided documentation for raw materials MANE is considering purchasing from them
Perform impact analysis due to changes in raw material data
Update databases to make regulatory data available to all the departments of the company to facilitate their work. This includes setting up new raw material data in MANE’s global database, including composition data which feeds into multiple calculations such as GHS, allergens, ethical, global compliance, etc
Troubleshoot and correct issues with MANE’s global database and its calculations that are based on raw materials’ set-ups
Communicate with suppliers about their documentation when needed
Provide training pertaining to regulatory topics to additional MANE departments as needed
Participate in accurate and complete daily record keeping, updating files with current information and documentation
Collaborate with MANE’s Regulatory Raw Material Team and the Quality Department to review raw material documentation provided by suppliers via the supplier management system
Follow workflow processes within the supplier management system and MANE’s internal systems
Support MANE’s transition of our raw material approval process into the supplier management system MANE subscribes to
Maintain MANE’s supplier management system’s regulatory data
Import documentation into the supplier management system as needed
Determine, assign, and troubleshoot legal names for ingredient, flavor, seasoning, and color sales
Complete customer requests for documentation and completion of customers’ forms pertaining to ingredient sales and color sales
Support internal teams with issues and challenges as assigned
Other related tasks as assigned
Attend various organizations’ conferences and workshops that may require travel occasionally

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or technical science
4+ years of regulatory experience in the flavor/food industry is required
Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate written or verbal instructions, policies, and procedures
Collaborative – Willingness to share and learn from experiences
Excellent people skills
Must be meticulous, organized, and maintain a high level of confidentiality
Self-motivated, forward-thinking analytical person
Excellent project management skills
A cheerful outlook and the ability to adapt to changing situations
Preferred
Experience with a supplier management system(s) is strongly preferred, but not required
Experience with cross-functional work with multiple interconnected departments
