Resident Assistant / Activities Coordinator

The Resident Assistant / Activities Coordinator will assist the Housing Manager in maintaining a positive living environment, addressing resident issues, and coordinating activities for employees.

Responsibilities

Expected to work assigned shifts on a regular basis. The shifts are determined by the Housing Manager and could extend to 11:00 pm depending upon the circumstance. The RA is responsible for ensuring that all housing residents understand and adhere to company expectations of appropriate behavior
Act as a support system to all employee residents to help resolve issues before they affect the workplace
Work closely with the Housing Manager and Department Managers/GM to resolve employee housing issues such as roommate issues, quiet hours, etc
Assist with entire check-in/out process in employee housing utilizing the appropriate checklists
Assist the Housing Manager with room assignments as needed
Work with Housing Manager to notify residents and schedule bi-weekly room inspections
Maintain confidentiality of employee personal information at all times
Communicate and enforce employee housing policies and park regulations, and report violations of state and federal laws according to procedures to the Housing Manager
Assist in coordinating and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly employee activities
Attend all regularly scheduled meetings, i.e. monthly dorm meetings, weekly Housing Management meetings and room inspections
Collaborate with the Housing Manager and the other housing staff to create a positive, safe, and healthy living environment
Cover the front desk, as applicable, in the dorms to answer employee questions, assist with time punches, promotion of scheduled activities, etc
Other duties as assigned

Required

Strong organizational and communication skills
Enthusiasm for working with others and being a leader that protects company assets
Basic computer skills
Valid driver's license and good driving record/history with ability to complete required vehicle use paperwork
Will be on call 24/7 for a minimum of 6 days a week
Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience: Have lived in a dorm setting within the past 5 years
Worked in a leadership position, in a dorm setting, within the last 5 years
