Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and compliant individual and business tax returns
Handle complex filings including Trusts, Estates, Foreign Income, FBAR/FinCEN 114, and multi-state returns
Conduct tax interviews with clients in both English and Spanish
Review financial records, receipts, statements, and supporting documents
Provide tax planning guidance and identify potential credits and deductions
Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information
Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations

Required

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience preparing both personal (1040) and business (1120/1120S/1065) tax returns
Detail-oriented and proactive
Confident working with complex tax scenarios
Proficiency with tax software (e.g., Drake, Lacerte, ProSeries, etc.)
Ability to work in person at our office location
Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws
Must be bilingual (English & Spanish)

Preferred

Experience with Trusts, Estates, FBAR, and Foreign Income is also highly preferred
EA (Enrolled Agent) credential - Preferred
Experience preparing Trust & Estate tax returns - Preferred
Experience with FBAR and foreign income reporting - Preferred
Experience with IRS correspondence or audit support - Preferred
Experience working in a high-volume tax office - Preferred
