Responsibilities

Responding to student and faculty inquiries about undergraduate research opportunities and providing feedback on applications
Using professional judgment and knowledge of research methods and methodology to make recommendations on funding proposals
Coaching students on the public presentation of their research leveraging campus partners in the Center for Professionalism and Communication
Assist with administrative functions as requested, including communication, application development, scheduling, funding disbursements, website development/upkeep, and social media posts
Assist in the distribution, collection, organization, and analysis of program data
Coordinate with school and college-based offices that oversee undergraduate research opportunities to ensure equity and continuity in funding requirements and award amounts across the university
Plan and execute the annual public presentation of the Summer Scholars and Artists research projects and assist with the planning and execution of the annual AU Honors Research Conference

Required

Must have a bachelor's degree and currently be enrolled in a master's or doctoral program
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective time management skills
Desire to serve as a mentor to enhance the academic, personal, and social development of college students
Leadership skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and with small and large groups
Dedication to building relationships with staff and student leaders to foster community within the program

Preferred

Experience with Qualtrics, Canvas, website maintenance, and social media platforms preferred
Enrolled in the Ed.D. program in the School of Education
