Responsibilities
Move levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus
Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area
Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device
Load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device
Conduct pre-trip inspection and notify appropriate personnel of malfunctions
Perform additional job functions as requested by supervisor or manager
Cross training required for pallet jack functions
Reference RFS computer and/or appropriate computer printout to stock pallets
Follow company's attendance policies and procedures
Follow company's safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one to other employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Knowledge of Warehouse Management System (Triceps), VLM Time System, Forklift RF unit, Triceps scan station
Must be able to pass Forklift Certification Test and operate forklift
Must comply with Company dress code
Must be 18 years old
Able to work in a cold environment -20 F
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Ability to adjust focus
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
