Security Officer - Tank Farm Patrol

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and escalate concerns through the chain of command as required
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, process-adjacent areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity
Monitor access points and check credentials, badges, and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures
Control vehicle and pedestrian entry by directing traffic flow, maintaining orderly access, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations
Observe for unusual conditions such as unauthorized personnel, unsecured doors or gates, and/or prohibited items, and report findings promptly
Complete routine patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation with clear, accurate, and timely details
Support emergency and non-emergency response activities such as evacuations, shelter-in-place actions, and accountability checks when directed
Use communication systems such as radios and phones to coordinate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency responders
Maintain awareness of chemical and industrial location rules including restricted areas, PPE requirements, and/or posted warnings, and report non-compliance through appropriate channels
Assist with monitoring of CCTV and/or alarm systems where assigned, and document and report observed irregularities
Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the post and site requirements

Required

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
