Responsibilities
Maintains presence at host stand / door to professionally and graciously greet and seat customers
Monitors server performance to ensure smooth service during the customers’ dining experience
Observes proper telephone etiquette
Handles reservations through OpenTable platform (including VIPs) and any additional inquiries regarding hours of operation, specials, events, etc
Organizes reservations, maximizes seating during operating hours, and optimizes staffing and customer traffic
Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment and maintains knowledge of the POS system
Keeps flow of service to standards (e.g., proper seating of customers to each wait station)
Participates in daily pre-shift meetings
Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.)
Maintains cleanliness and presentability of all menus and menu covers
Maintains the highest level of hygiene standards to include, but not limited to:
Clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes
Clean and professionally styled hair and nails, maintained to avoid food contamination risks
Adheres to posted work schedule and follows established procedures for schedule and shift changes
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge of OpenTable platform
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work autonomously
Motivated and results-driven
Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time
Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
"Win together" mentality
Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds
Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
