Transmission Line Project Manager

Responsibilities

Scope and/or proposal development, project team development and assignment, project execution, project closeout, and quality control, schedule, and budget management
Independently coordinates the work of engineers and the balance of the team throughout an entire project life cycle
Understands and implements basic project management tools and techniques and the following: Power Delivery project life cycle, client goals and objectives, contract types and project risk, work breakdown structures, project scope, schedule, and budget, project management plans, financial management and controls, including earned value, and project closeout
Understands and implements contractual terms and conditions, including financial constraints, and coordinates with operations leads to staff and execute projects to meet area financial plans
Coordinates with applicable area leadership, which may not be the local office, for project reviews and with company management as needed
May be engaged in a mentoring/training relationship with one or more Project Managers and/or Assistant Project Managers
Coordinates with marketing and technical leadership for business development and execution
Perform client management and/or technical support activities as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in related field
7 years related experience
A minimum of 2 years project management experience
Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred

PE license strongly preferred
PMP certification a plus but not required
3+ years of overall experience, including prior project management
EPC project experience a plus
Demonstrates leadership and communication skills
Track record of working cooperatively with diverse teams, regional, department, technical managers and project staff
Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Good verbal and written communication skills
