Operating Engineer (Night Shift)
Cushman & Wakefield is a leading global real estate services firm, and they are seeking an Operating Engineer for the night shift. This role is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems for assigned properties.

Responsibilities
Perform all plumbing, electrical, and HVAC requirements of the building(s)
Maintain heating equipment, chillers (air- and/or water-cooled), DX units, pumps, cooling towers, fan coil units, VAV systems, and air distribution systems
Complete normal work orders and preventive maintenance tasks (PMs)
Test-run generators during scheduled run times
Assist with vendor PMs on critical equipment, including UPS units, ATS switches, and chillers
Update all required documentation in a timely manner according to ISO 9001 standards
Keep all mechanical and electrical rooms clean and orderly
Update and maintain an inventory of spare parts
Perform regular building checks for maintenance issues (lights, restrooms, general repairs)
Keep all floor tiles properly seated and perform repairs as needed
Monitor contractors working on the raised floor, ensuring they have a valid change ticket and understand their scope of work
Escort contractors requiring access to the raised floor and check on them at least every 30 minutes
Log all issues in the daily logbook, noting whether they are completed or outstanding
Install data center components, including cabinets, equipment, shelves, power bars, and cable managers
Ensure all power cabling is installed and labeled correctly according to documented standards
Track and document all circuits and power bars
Maintain equipment standards lists to keep them current
Maintain all data center cabinets in proper working order, including doors and any repairs needed by IS or Facilities
Ensure all work on the data center floor is performed in accordance with Change Management guidelines
Qualification
Required
Data Center or Critical Environment experience will be required

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
3-5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting
May be required to have certification as a Universal Technician for CFC's depending on market licensure requirements
Experience in operation, maintenance and basic repair of HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, water systems, etc
Must have ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment (pumps, tools, ladders) and safely install rigging/lifting devices
Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you
Ability to read and understand information presented orally and in writing
Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, drawings, and schematics

Graduate of apprentice program or trade school preferred
