The Fluent World Foundation is seeking a strategic and experienced Grant Writer to help secure foundational funding for their education-focused non-profit. This role is critical for individuals passionate about professional development and teacher support, with an opportunity to transition into a paid position as funding milestones are met.

Responsibilities
Research and identify government-backed (State/Federal) and association-level grant opportunities
Lead and work along other staff and team members to draft high-quality, persuasive grant proposals and manage the submission process
Advise leadership on grant compliance and eligibility requirements
Maintain a calendar of deadlines and reporting requirements
Qualification
Required
All applicants must be either a US citizen, or operating on a US work visa
Proven Track Record: Experience in writing, submitting, and winning grants (please be prepared to discuss your success rate)
Industry Experience: Preference will be given to those with experience in the education or non-profit startup sectors
Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify state and federal government grant opportunities that align with NPO startup goals

Active NEA Membership (preferred but not required): Applicants must be current members of the National Education Association
