They are seeking an Accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and support internal teams with critical financial data and analysis.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals during the month-end close process

Ensure all transactions comply with internal policies and applicable accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS)

Reconcile accounts in a timely manner and investigate any discrepancies

Monitor and report on company liabilities, including insurance and other financial obligations

Track costs and accruals, ensuring timely and accurate reporting

Assist with financial reporting and ad hoc analysis as needed

Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits with internal and external auditors

Support the Tax Manager with data for state and federal filings

Perform additional accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a solid understanding of general ledger, journal entries, and financial reporting

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (pivot tables, formulas)

Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Clear communication and organizational abilities

Experience working under tight deadlines, particularly during month-end closings or audits

Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Houston area
