OMNIVISION is offering a summer internship for 2026 that provides hands-on research and development experience in high-speed analog and mixed-signal IC design. The intern will contribute to the design, simulation, and characterization of advanced circuits while collaborating closely with design and layout teams.

Responsibilities

Design and characterize embedded analog and mixed-signal blocks such as high-speed I/O, SerDes, CDR, PLL, and FIFO
Support RTL-level design and debugging, including clock tree and clock-domain crossing designs
Assist with layout design and optimization for high-speed or high-precision performance
Participate in direct high-speed test support and silicon evaluation (as applicable)

Analog circuit designVLSI designVerilog/System VerilogSPICE simulatorsRTL designHigh-speed oscilloscope testing

Required

M.S. in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) student in senior year(s) with coursework in VLSI design and analog integrated circuits
Solid understanding of analog circuit design and debugging
Experience with Verilog, Verilog-AMS, or System Verilog for behavioral modeling
Familiarity with SPICE simulators (e.g., HSPICE), including Monte Carlo variation analysis

Preferred

GPA 3.8/4.0 or higher preferred, or demonstrated excellence through relevant research, projects, or publications
Exposure to RTL design, simulation, verification, and/or place-and-route is a plus
High-speed oscilloscope test experience is desirable but not required
